Deeper Than the Reef: My Con Dao Wreck Diving Adventure with Amadive Con Dao.|Diving a Sunken Ship in Con Dao: An Adventure with Amadive Con Dao.|Con Dao's Sunken Secret: My Wreck Dive with Amadive.
When I booked my dive trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected vibrant coral reefs. And I found them. But I saw something on the Amadive dive list: **Wreck Diving**. My pulse jumped. This was more than a standard reef dive; this was an adventure into the past.
I have to admit, I felt nervous. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the team at **Amadive** was fantastic. Their Divemasters provided a detailed briefing. We covered safety protocols, the history of the sunken ship, and what to expect down there. Being in such a small group instantly made me feel confident.
Going down was surreal. At first, it's a dark shape in the blue, and then it appeared. It was huge. The ship is now a bustling artificial reef, covered in corals and teeming with marine life. We saw giant groupers peeking from inside the hull, and lionfish patrolling the superstructure. That feeling of gliding next to this silent, ghostly structure is hard to describe—haunting, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It's a time capsule on the seabed.
For any an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and seeking an adventure beyond the usual reef dive, I urge you this **dive** highly enough. It was the absolute Vietnam scuba diving highlight of my Vietnam trip. A massive thank you to the **Amadive Con Dao** team for their expertise and for making this unforgettable experience possible and safe.
